With the great advancement in technology, the teaching and learning
process which was traditionally confined to the four corners of a
classroom has now evolved. Digitalised methods of learning are becoming
more and more desirable as time to achieve wider goals seems to be
turning more and more compacted. Humanity is all of a sudden becoming a
stiffly competitive phenomenon. It is like people are gradually –
unwittingly or by design – creating ways of making sure survival is
safely tucked away for the more technological mind. The pursuit for more
knowledge seems to be modern man’s centre of attention.
And technology is rightly placed to redress the desire. While some
choose to physically experience teachers’ instructions, others simply
need to be shown the way; they will reach the destination. Of course,
with technology, you can easily experience the ‘semi-physical’ presence
of the instructor who is millions of miles away. And you are safe: no
one is monitoring you. Even if someone could be monitoring you, still
you will be monitored in the comfort of your room.
This blog is set to provide detailed information to students and
writers who intend to improve their skills in English. In essence, it is
a platform on which critical discussions have to take place; great
essays have to be posted for reviews and critiques and questions have to
be asked for research and peer assistance.
The approach will be step-by-step. A topic has to be exhausted before
a new one is introduced. Well, to say a topic has to be exhausted might
seem to be very unrealistic since no topic in the world can ever be
exhausted. Let us say as much information as possible has to be brought
out on a given topic. That sounds a little realistic, doesn’t it?
None the less, where essential, some interpolations for the sake of
an important new topic will be entertained. It could be that the new
topic is important in the short term. In this regard, it will be gladly
embraced and willing and apt minds will brainstorm on it.
Please note that the final decision on any interpolation will be
reached at after the blog administrator(s)’ consent. This should be the
case for the sake of order and sanity. The administrator reserves the
right to accept or reject any interruption on a current topic as (s)he
may deem it necessary.
Postscript: since the blog is set to carry both English Language and
Literature in English, the two sections will be being pursued
concurrently. The administrator may choose which section – language or
literature – should be tackled at a particular time. However, the same
issue of any important ‘interjection’ will be looked into with some
positivity.
Yours Truly,
Ananiya Alick Ponje (Chief Administrator)
